 The purpose of the Visitation Fathers’ Club is to promote the general welfare of Visitation Academy. Open to all fathers of Visitation students, the club fosters friendship among parents of children attending the school, and promotes a spirit of cooperation and involvement between the parents and the school. The organization also sponsors events to produce revenue for school activities and financial aid.Visitation fathers experience unique opportunities, which help cement strong relationships with their daughters, and everyone has a good time in the process! The Father-Daughter Dinner Dance, attended by Upper School students and their fathers, is especially meaningful. Fathers accompany their younger sons and daughters to the annual Father/Daughter/Son Mass and Breakfast. Visitation students love these special times with their dads. Other Fathers’ Club activities include the Fathers’ Club Family Picnic, Adult Mixer and Trivia Night. The organization also leads the Current Parent Annual Fund drive, during which they conduct a phonathon. An exceptional camaraderie exists among men who participate in the Visitation Fathers’ Club. Whether manning a grill at a picnic, escorting their daughters to a dinner/dance, or making calls for the annual appeal, these gentlemen develop a special bond, which grows during their years at Visitation. Life-long friendships are often the result of serving on a committee or attending events. The Visitation Fathers’ Club encourages all fathers to attend meetings, participate on committees and attend school events. Pleasant memories of time spent with their daughters and other fathers are guaranteed! |
