In Montessori education, children attain high mental and moral development at an early age, with teachers who model realistic, respectful and spiritual attitudes. Montessori methods harmonize with modern approaches in educational thinking. The Montessori method provides children with opportunities to learn when they are ready, beginning as early as age two. In a carefully prepared environment, scaled to childrens spiritual, mental, social and physical development, naturally inquisitive children are free to touch, handle, rearrange, explore, experiment with, observe, and discover their world and their own place in it. Ages are mixed to promote peer learning.
